Travel Bucket List
Traveling is something I have always wanted to do. I never had much opportunity to explore beyond the Midwest, but that did not stop me from creating a travel bucket list. Our family went on a few bigger vacations when I was younger like to Disney World in Florida and to DC while visiting my cousins, but in all honesty, my brother and I played so many sports that our evenings, weekends, and summers were filled with practices, games, and camps. It wasn’t until I was in college that I caught what people like to call “the travel bug” and I got started on my travel bucket list.
I began looking at all the travel possibilities my school offered and ended up taking a travel study course that involved a week long trip to Costa Rica during my Sophomore year. The experience opened my eyes to how much I could learn through travel and awakened a desire to explore the world around me.
Here are some of the top items on my Travel Bucket List!
#1 Learn about my heritage.
For me this involves visiting Germany, Norway, and Sweden. Although I know where I come from, I don’t really know much about the customs or traditions that go with it. I want to find out more about the cultures that shaped my family! (I will definitely be visiting Germany during Oktoberfest!)
#2 Go on an African Safari
I have wanted to do this for as long as I can remember, and can’t wait to see all of the wildlife!
#3 See the Great Barrier Reef
Sadly, this one has a bit of a timer on it. I sincerely hope that the efforts to save the Great Barrier Reef succeed, but I intend to see its beauty as soon as possible.
#4 Visit Egypt to see the Great Pyramid of Giza and the Sphinx
I have always been fascinated by Egypt and all the treasures that the home of the pharaohs holds.
